Objectives and Outcomes

 Initially, the outcomes we expect from The Mobile Classroom are:

                1. Continuing success of our enrolled students in accordance with the state and national educational standards,

                2. Smooth re-entry into the regular classroom,  

                3. Hope for children with long-term illnesses.

  By working together with the regular school districts and families, we hope to ensure success for each student. We want to see better results than those provided by the minimal instruction mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1997 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Upon the end of hospitalization and homebound treatment, we want to see students return to school as soon as possible without feeling like they are too far behind to catch up with their peers. 

Eventually we hope to extend these objectives to other populations of students who are underserved such as students who come from low income neighborhoods. This will encompass a volunteer program in which teachers and teachers in training can join together to reach out to communities in need. Stay tuned for more updates as this program progresses!
