Per Colorado law, school districts are required to provide a home bound teacher for students who are missing a lot of school due to illness. Typically that teacher can provide a few hours of tutoring in a week but not much more than the bare minimum required by the law. We would like to supplement the work that is already being provided to your child and offer more one on one time in order to prepare your child to re-enter the regular classroom.
When you enroll in The Mobile Classroom, one of our teachers will begin working with you to form a schedule that best suits the needs of your child. Typically, students will receive two hours of tutoring per week. The teacher will work with you and your child to determine what is the best day and time for your child to receive services. At The Mobile Classroom, we understand that treatment can take a lot out of a child. There are good days and bad days. We can work with you to create a schedule where your child is feeling their best while being tutored.
Because we are a new organization, we do not have a large staff. The representative on the Western Slope is based in Glenwood Springs and the representative on the Front Range is based in Westminster. In the beginning, we will limit our clientele to a 30 mile radius of where we currently live. If you are outside the area that is currently being served, please visit us again soon as in the coming months we hope to expand our program to other areas throughout the state.
The main criteria for receiving services is that your child is missing a month or more of school due to illness. Upon receiving your application, we will get in contact with you to discuss specifics and determine eligibility for services.
We would like to make enrollment as quick and painless as possible. If you are interested in our services the following steps need to be taken:

2. Fill out the application completely and send it back electronically. One of our representatives will review the application and get back to you within 48 hours.
3. If accepted we will set up a time to meet you and your family in person to fill out necessary paperwork and begin services as soon as possible.
